Video Editor / Motion Designer

We’re looking for a Hybrid Video Editor + Motion Designer to join Avocadots’ creative team. If you love telling stories through video, mixing clean edits with eye-catching motion graphics, and creating content that stands out across platforms, this role is for you. You’ll work across agency content, client campaigns, social media, and long-form storytelling projects.

  • As a Hybrid Video Editor + Motion Designer, you will be responsible for turning ideas into dynamic, visually engaging content. You will work across short-form and long-form formats, combining strong editing skills with motion design to elevate the Avocadots brand and our clients’ brands. This role is ideal for someone who understands pacing, design, and storytelling — and loves bringing visuals to life through animation, typography, transitions, and high-quality edits.

  • We want a creative who is:

    • Skilled in both editing and motion design

    • Comfortable working across short-form (Reels/TikTok) and long-form (YouTube) content

    • Able to bring ideas, energy, and creativity into every project

    • Strong in visual storytelling, pacing, and composition

    • Detail-oriented with a clean, modern design approach

    • Collaborative and able to work closely with our creative and strategy teams

    • Passionate about staying updated with trends in editing, motion, and social-first content

    • Able to adapt content to different industries and brand styles

    Bonus points if you:

    • Have a strong design background

    • Have experience with social-first brands

    • Enjoy experimenting with transitions, effects, and creative formats

    • Are comfortable filming occasionally

    • Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts

    • Edit long-form videos for YouTube, client campaigns, and our internal content

    • Create motion graphics, transitions, and animated elements that elevate storytelling

    • Develop branded motion assets (titles, lower thirds, hooks, animated typography)

    • Bring creative ideas to shoots and help shape the visual direction

    • Work with the digital marketing and creative teams on campaigns

    • Adapt content to each platform’s best practices and trends

    • Maintain brand consistency across all video outputs

    • Optimize content for performance (watch time, engagement, clarity)

    • Organize and manage footage, graphics, and animation workflows

    • Ability to create clean, modern, high-quality edits

    • Strong motion design skills (animated typography, transitions, graphic elements)

    • A portfolio showcasing both video editing and motion design work

    • Understanding of social media video trends and platform requirements

    • Strong storytelling, pacing, and visual composition skills

    • Ability to work with multiple brands and styles

    • Attention to detail and high-quality execution

    • Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
