Google Shopping Ads in Cyprus Are Delayed: What We Found

Earlier this year, we shared the news that Google Shopping Ads were expected to become available in Cyprus from July 2026.

Once July passed, we wanted to put this into practice.

At Avocadots, we recently prepared a Google Shopping campaign for one of our clients targeting Cyprus. The account, products and campaign were prepared correctly and were eligible to serve.

There was just one problem: the campaign was getting zero impressions.

We Contacted Google Ads Support

Initially, we suspected there might be an issue with the campaign, Merchant Center setup or product feed.

We therefore opened a support ticket with Google Ads to investigate.

After reviewing the account, Google's support team confirmed that our setup and products were ready and that Cyprus was correctly selected as the target country.

However, they also confirmed something much more important:

Although Shopping Ads were originally planned to become available in Cyprus from July 2026, the rollout to additional countries is still pending.

This explains why the Shopping campaign was unable to generate impressions, clicks or other activity.

In other words, as of September 2026, Google Shopping Ads are still not serving in Cyprus despite the previously planned July rollout.

When Will Google Shopping Ads Launch in Cyprus?

We followed up with Google specifically asking whether there was an approximate date for Shopping Ads to become available in Cyprus.

At the moment, there isn't one.

Google Ads Support confirmed that they do not currently have an exact date for the continuation of the rollout to additional countries.

Their team is monitoring the rollout and indicated that they plan to provide updates once it resumes.

What Should Cyprus Advertisers Do?

If you have already started preparing for Google Shopping Ads in Cyprus, zero impressions do not necessarily mean there is a problem with your Merchant Center account, product feed or campaign.

In our case, the setup was prepared correctly and suitable for Shopping Ads, but the campaign could not serve because the rollout in Cyprus is still pending.

Businesses can use this time to prepare their product data, Merchant Center setup and campaign structure so they are ready when Google activates Shopping Ads in Cyprus.

There can be several reasons why a Shopping campaign receives zero impressions. However, if the campaign specifically targets Cyprus, the current availability of Shopping Ads may be the issue. In our case, Google confirmed that the setup was suitable, but Shopping Ads were not yet active in Cyprus.

When will Google Shopping Ads launch in Cyprus?

There is currently no confirmed new launch date. Google Ads Support told us that the rollout remains pending and that they do not have an exact date for its continuation.

Can I prepare my Google Shopping campaign now?

Yes. Advertisers can prepare their Merchant Center account, product data and campaign setup in advance. However, based on our September 2026 experience and direct communication with Google Ads Support, advertisers should not expect Shopping Ads to serve in Cyprus until Google continues the rollout.
